Morning. Not sure if you all know what happened last night in Times Square but we had a bomb scare that could have been devastating, but was averted by the keen eyes of a street vendor. I am a proud New Yorker, born and bred and can't imagine living elsewhere. Does that scare me? No, I will not let it change my way of life anymore than these terrorists already have. I love NYC!

I fear evil just as any normal person does but I am in Manhattan on a regular basis and do not worry about terrorists in my day to day life. I also pray for peace but if the extremists will only accept an end to our way of life, then I do fear; I fear peace will not happen.

emmajulie, I am relatively new--several months--and I just love playing! The group is intelligent, funny and caring. I will never be the best and definitely not the least time but I have a ball. Love reading the comments and clues and chatter. I started by just playing the easy games and also went back to the archives and practiced on those (easy only). Then I was ready for prime time and tackled a medium. Have yet to finish a hard game. But someday, maybe. Just keep smiling and clicking and have fun!

Norm, I wonder how many members on this site are ex-smokers...more than the average population? My guess is yes. Maybe something to do with keeping one's hands occupied, or addictions in general. I have found that smokers and ex-smokers usually like to talk a lot, also. Very verbal. Ahhhh, that would explain all of us posting. (BTW, this is not a scientific study! LOL)

Here's another ex-smoker. I smoked from 1956 until 1982. Haven't had a cigarette since. I've also found that as ex-smokers we are very intolerant of those who do smoker. I cannot stand to be near someone who smokes. Smokers outside a restaurant drive me crazy. However, I believe that places of business should have the right to allow smoking in their establishments. I can always find another place to spend my money.

My reaction to ex-smokers is different: I feel sorry for them. They either have to live with that horrible habit or go through the trauma of quitting. Glad its behind me.

I'm not a Taurus I'm a Cancer, but I finally dumped a two + pack a day habit thirteen years ago with the aid of the patch. I had what my Dr. described as a severe physical addiction whatever that means. When i tried to quit without the patch I passed out and my BP went thru the roof.
