Dwe are lucky to be a group of so many animal lovers. People who feel they are family.  It leaves us able to express our grief and feel understood. That's a huge thing. 

You are losing family.  Of course that's incredibly hard. Xo

I have had to ay goodbye to two other  loved buddies. The first nearly did me in as he was My Special Buddy for almost 12 years. The other a sweet girl that 'mothered' a difficult little  guy, who is the one  that will be leaving us now.  We have had this guy for 17 years. - that is making it a bit more difficult. Our youngest dog, who normally teases him and is constantly fussing with him, has in the last two days started to treat him so gently. He knows, I think, that Smokey will be leaving us very soon.

So very sorry, Toni! We will all be thinking of you and sending good thoughts. Big hug!  Xox

Sorry TKO.  A few years back my son's family had a sweet little American Eskimo whom I so often kept on the weekends.  He was my buddy..  When he developed cancer at age 10 and had to be put down my heart broke.  Thinking of you.
